"Thank you for the great training class. Your approach to training is refreshing and it makes the class move along quickly. The 'real world' examples are insightful because it helps me understand why a sales person pushes back and what they have to go through when trying to sell something to the customer. The 'tennis ball' theory is something I will keep in mind when dealing with my vendors going forward.

Considered by many to be the most sought after sales trainer in the high tech/software industry, GuruGanesha Khalsa, affectionately known as 'Ganesh', blends savvy New York street smarts, Eastern metaphysical insight, and mastery of the SANDLER HIGH TECH SELLING SYSTEM® in an electrifying training style. His unique brand of "Sales Edu-tainment" is generously spiced with humorous stories garnered during a colorful 35-year sales, sales management, sales training career.
Thousands of successful high tech sales professionals worldwide consider their days spent in training with Ganesh as seminal. His extensive client list contains many of the top tech companies in the world including Salesforce.com, Dell, BMC, Symantec, Oracle, Cisco and Quest. He also specializes in training emerging/ pre-IPO firms. In fact, one major high tech venture capital firm insists that Ganesh be retained as a prerequisite for funding.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1950 of a Russian Jewish father and an Irish Catholic mother, the former a professional comedian/singer and the latter a professional dancer, Ganesh's early years, as one might assume, were filled with song, dance, and endless funny stories. In 1972, after attending Clark University in Worcester and falling in love with Eastern Mysticism, he entered the job market and was hired for his first sales position.
As a manufacturer's rep for several lines of footwear, he soon became known as the "Shoe Guru". Though many were skeptical that a salesman attired in turban and beard could succeed, Khalsa was convinced that his unique appearance was a competitive advantage. "If I do a good job", he explained, "no one will ever forget me!" In late 1981, after being introduced to the SANDLER SELLING SYSTEM and transitioning into the high tech industry, his career really took off.
A software salesman for a Massachusetts-based firm at the time, Ganesh rose from number thirteen of sixteen reps in 1981 to eventually become the company's top sales rep out of thirty plus reps for three straight years, 1984, 1985 and 1986.
It was during this period that Ganesh discovered that he had an almost magical ability to transmit his sales prowess to others. In fact, helping professional sales people achieve their full potential became such a passion that Ganesh took to sales training fulltime starting in 1989 when he opened the Sandler Training Institute of Virginia. His signature programs, "The High Tech Sales Bootcamp", "The Art of Win/Win Negotiation", and "Anatomy of a Cold Call" have drawn rave reviews worldwide.
Starting in 1995, he began specializing in helping global companies to successfully implement the Sandler High Tech Selling System as their companywide sales methodology. Since that time, the Sandler Training Institute of Virginia has become one of the top revenue generating Sandler Training Affiliates in the world.
